Moved to Salem when I got out of school for a couple of years. Moved home when family bought Bowling alley(Bye Lanes). At the same time I leased a gas station (.32 Cents). I lost all of my money selling gas, so I moved to Seattle, to get rich, for 2 years. I still had interest in the bowling alley so I moved home when our best employee and friend (Tom Ogura) died.
I married Glenda Points (Baker) In 66? I think. I almost always remember our anniversary though. She never does, we will see this year.
I was a drag racer all of the time until about 85 when I wrecked my car and quit. Could have rebuilt it but I was just to busy those days. I also ran a repair shop fixing cars and trucks in the 70's and 80's. Plus the bowling alley. Didn't sleep much, Racing and running 2 businesses.
By Lanes burned down in 1982, July 4. I built Sunset Lanes in 1983, and have been here every since although my son Larry is the general manager. Seems like I still have to work.
